Children, families, artists and local supporters came together at Llandyrnog Community Shop and Post Office for a joyful celebration of food, family memories and storytelling. The Arts Engagement Project: Audio Food Story and Drawing Awards invited young participants from Ysgol Bryn Clwyd to turn personal food stories into drawings and recordings, then share their work with family and guests.
During the celebration, the children saw their drawings projected on screen, heard their stories fill the room and received medals in recognition of their imagination, confidence and creativity.
Stories full of humour, heart and belonging
The stories were full of personality and humour, showing how food can open memories of family, place and belonging. From drawings to recorded voices, each child’s work offered a glimpse into the ideas and experiences that matter to them.
