Llandyrnog Shop

Village Shop, Post Office and Community Hub

Heart of the community since 1841

From milk to muffins, beans to bread or chutneys to cheese all manner of delicious local produce is sold in this friendly village shop.

Reopen To Customers

Thanks to funding from UK Government Community Ownership Fund, Welsh Government Community Facilities Fund, Brenig Windfarm Community Benefit Fund, Llandyrnog Community Council and over 300 community share holders, the building which now also houses a Post Office and Community Hub, was purchased in February 2024. Following renovation it reopened to customers on 11 October and the rich tradition of local services for local people, started in 1841 by Samuel Fox, continues.

A Great Atmosphere and a Warm Welcome

Even though it is relatively early days, both staff and volunteers in the shop and hub have been receiving great feedback from visitors. Whether it is the hand painted craft of the bespoke windows and signage, or the roomy feel inside making moving around for customers of all ages and abilities as simple as possible, it seems a great atmosphere and warm welcome can be counted upon by everybody.
