As you will have heard on the news, the Welsh Government has announced they have a £900 million gap in their budget and are consequently are freezing non-essential payments until Ministers have had a chance to work through potential savings in their respective areas.
Unfortunately, this appears, for the time being, to affect our Community Facilities Grant application which is required as match funding for the Community Ownership Fund we have previously been offered by the UK government.
The grant panel were originally expected to meet in April but this was delayed until 8th June when we were told we would receive a decision by the end of June.
Please be assured we have been chasing this up on your behalf with various contacts at the Senedd and again had a meeting this week with our MS, Gareth Davies who, together with our MP is applying pressure where he can.
I wish to reassure all investors in community shares that their money is ring fenced until all funding is in place to progress the project.
We know how frustrating these delays must be and especially for Ros and Rob who have been extremely patient in this process for which we thank them.
Be assured as soon as we hear anything we will let you know.
Newyddion diweddaraf – Dydd Gwener 11ed Awst
Fel y byddwch wedi clywed ar y newyddion, mae Llywodraeth Cymru wedi cyhoeddi fod ganddynt fwlch o £900 miliwn yn eu cyllideb ac o ganlyniad maent yn rhewi taliadau nad ydynt yn hanfodol nes bod Gweinidogion wedi cael cyfle i weithio trwy arbedion yn eu priod feysydd. Yn anffodus, mae hyn yn ymddangos, am y tro, yn effeithio ar ein cais am Grant Cyfleusterau Cymunedol sy’n angenrheidiol fel cyllid cyfatebol ar gyfer y Gronfa Perchnogaeth Gymunedol yr ydym wedi ei chynnig yn flaenorol gan Lywodraeth y DU.
Yn wreiddiol, roedd disgwyl i’r panel grantiau gyfarfod ym mis Ebrill ond cafodd hyn ei ohirio tan 8 Mehefin pan ddywedwyd wrthym y byddem yn derbyn penderfyniad erbyn diwedd Mis Mehefin.
‘Rydym wedi bod yn siarad gyda gwahanol gysylltiadau yn y Senedd ac unwaith eto wedi cael cyfarfod gyda’n AS, Gareth Davies sydd ynghyd a’n AS yn rhoi cefnogaeth lle y gallant.
Hoffwn sicrhau pob buddsoddwr mewn cyfranddaliadau cymunedol bod eu harian wedi ei neilltuo nes bod yr holl gyllid yn ei le i ddatblygu’r prosiect.
Rydym yn gwybod pa mor rhwystredig mae’r newyddion yma yn enwedig i Ros a Rob sydd wedi bod yn hynod amyneddgar yn y broses hon, a diolchwn iddynt.
Mi fyddwn yn ol mewn cysylltiad cyn gynted ac y mae yna unrhyw newyddion pellach.
