Public Meeting 17 April 2024

It was good to welcome people to the Village Hall to hear the latest update on the Community Shop and Post Office Project. As well as updating everyone on where we are up to since the purchase went through on the 9th February in regards to building and renovation work it was great to be able to share the drawings and plans which were available on display.

We were also delighted to be able to introduce our newest Director – Patrick Keefe, who brings a wealth of experiences to the project and greatly welcome his contribution. There is always an opportunity for others to join the team as a Director which will help give diversity and also share the workload as we move forward on the next part of our journey.

After a re-cap of our journey since the first meeting on the 26th May 2022 it was over to Jackie who gave details of how the Project would deliver not just a shop and a post office but a community meeting place. The opportunity to become a Director or a volunteer to help the project were presented and we are delighted that some volunteers have come forward to help to tidy the rear garden of the shop – plenty more room if you want to get in touch with us

Patrick gave us a an insight into why he made the decision to step forward and become a Director of the Project and we hope that his words will inspire others to come along on our journey.

Ivan led a Questions and Answers session with a great range of questions about the new layout plans for the shop and the proposed new external look. We will try and get these onto our website.

A member of the public asked if it was still possible to buy Community shares. It is, and we will open up a quick link from our website to make this easy. It will enable people who missed out on the initial launch to become a shareholder. Shareholders were reminded to let us know if there are any changes in their contact details or if they had purchased shares on behalf of a child to let us know when they attain 16 and gain voting rights.

Keep an eye on our website and Facebook pages as work on the building continues.

Cyfarfod Cyhoeddus 17 Ebrill 2024

Braf oedd croesawu pobl i Neuadd y Pentref i glywed y diweddariad diweddaraf am y Prosiect Siop Gymunedol a Swyddfa’r Post. Yn ogystal â diweddaru pawb ar ble rydym wedi cyrraedd ers i’r pryniant fynd drwodd ar 9 Chwefror o ran gwaith adeiladu ac adnewyddu roedd yn wych gallu rhannu’r cynlluniau a oedd ar gael i’w harddangos.

Roeddem hefyd yn falch iawn o allu cyflwyno ein Cyfarwyddwr mwyaf newydd – Patrick Keefe, sy’n dod â chyfoeth o brofiadau i’r prosiect ac yn croesawu ei gyfraniad yn fawr.  Mae cyfle bob amser i eraill ymuno â’r tîm fel Cyfarwyddwr a fydd yn helpu i roi amrywiaeth a hefyd rhannu’r llwyth gwaith wrth i ni symud ymlaen ar ran nesaf ein taith.

Ar ôl ail-gapio ar ein taith ers y cyfarfod cyntaf ar 26 Mai 2022 rhoddodd Jackie fanylion am sut y byddai’r Prosiect yn darparu nid yn unig siop a swyddfa bost ond man cyfarfod cymunedol.  Cyflwynwyd y cyfle i ddod yn Gyfarwyddwr neu’n wirfoddolwr i helpu’r prosiect ac rydym wrth ein bodd bod rhai gwirfoddolwyr wedi dod ymlaen i helpu i dacluso gardd gefn y siop – mwy o gyfle i eraill ymuno ond i chi gysylltu â ni

Rhoddodd Patrick gipolwg i ni ar pam y gwnaeth y penderfyniad i gamu ymlaen a dod yn Gyfarwyddwr y Prosiect a gobeithiwn y bydd ei eiriau’n ysbrydoli eraill i ddod draw ar ein taith.

Arweiniodd Ivan sesiwn Cwestiynau ac Atebion gyda nifer o gwestiynau am y cynlluniau newydd ar gyfer y siop a’r edrychiad allanol newydd arfaethedig.

Gofynnodd aelod o’r cyhoedd a oedd yn dal yn bosibl prynu cyfranddaliadau cymunedol.  Mae’n, a byddwn yn agor dolen gyflym o’n gwefan i wneud hyn yn hawdd.  Bydd yn galluogi pobl a gollodd y lansiad cychwynnol i ddod yn gyfranddaliwr.  Atgoffwyd cyfranddalwyr i roi gwybod i ni os oes unrhyw newidiadau yn eich manylion cyswllt ac os oedd rhywun wedi prynu cyfranddaliadau ar ran plant i roi gwybod i ni pan fyddant yn cyrraedd 16 oed ac yn ennill hawliau pleidleisio.

Cadwch lygad ar ein tudalennau Facebook a’n gwefan wrth i’r gwaith ar yr adeilad barhau.
